VEGGIE DOGS AT THE COTTAGE
We went to visit the cottage for a little veggie dog roast. It was an emotional one for it was the first time being back since saying good-bye to Alley and emotional for tired toddlers who were cold. But it was a good day none-the-less. It was our first real camping experience as a fam.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS
Our weekend had so many pleasantries. The Santa Claus parade was on. The Littlest Babe actually fell asleep, so The Papa and The Eldest Babe headed off. But as with most things (mostly messenger events), it started late and the Littlest Babe woke up in time for me to get her dress, haul her into the cold and watch for a bit before her eyes filled with tears and the lights were too stimulating.
The next day we headed to Carleton Place. The purpose was educational (The Papa was finishing a project for Architecture Class) but there was time for a break and the picking up of a tree at Charlie Brown's Tree Farm (yes that is the name!). The afternoon was spent decorating our 11 footer, drinking hot cocoa and eating pumpkin bread...oh yeah! And dealing with our pink eye.
OH YEAH!! The Littlest Babe did the cutest thing ever! This was literally her first encounter with snow falling and as soon as she was exposed she decided independently to stick out her tongue and let it fall. The cutest thing ever, seriously!

GETTING GEARED UP FOR YULE TIDE AND WINTER SOLTICE
This is such a special time of year. With the snow beginning to fall, families come together, apple cider warms our insides and hearts, and rose colours our cheeks and noses. For us this time of year has become so great because we get to imagine with each other, create, decorate and spend warm time indoors (and mostly cold times outdoors with Daddy).
We have begun to start creating some traditions and one has been to write to Santa Claus. He has been very good at responding and although Charlotte isn't quite ready to print yet, she tells me her ideas. She always wishes for other people and for happiness for her loved ones. Above is also potato stamps that we made to create our very own wrapping paper. Charlotte was very impressionistic with hers, but you will have to wait and see.

THINGS BABES LIKE TO PUT IN MOUTHS
Sophie or, as we have labeled her due to our love of a particular character on Kenny Vs. Spenny, SOF-FIE is a dear chew toy to Harriet. Charlotte never took to this Parisian squeaky pet while teething but Harriet visibly gets excited when she does squeak. So thanks Manda Panda (El had about 2 of them so she passed it along to us)!
Another choice toy is the lovely bicycle pump. A lesson to all those parents who NEED to buy things: they usually will like the box more than the present!
Funny how that pump seems to be haunting Allen at every turn.
