I like my Bicycle...

On May 31st 2009 we arrived in Holland for two weeks.  Our transportation was going to be our bicycles, as we have been told that this is the way to get around the Netherlands.  If you aren't riding a bike, something is wrong with you, because EVERYONE is!  Every street, major road and highway has a bike lane.  No helmets required and autos will yield to you.  You have respect! Before leaving Allen purchased a trailer kit for the Chariot stroller we have, so that Charlotte could ride with us the entire way.  Over 250 km were biked over the course of the trip and although some days were rough (especially an ambitious 80 km ride from Rotterdam - a port city - to Gouda and then Utrecht which included a torrential downpour and me being hungry and freezing) we prevailed and had the best trip together yet.
